Shawsheen Avenue Paving to Begin Wednesday
Road work will likely cause delays, and detours will be in effect. Here's what you need to know.

From the Wilmington Police Department
On Wednesday, August 24, the Department Public Works will begin paving Shawsheen Avenue (Rte. 129). During paving operations only eastbound traffic will be allowed on Shawsheen Ave. between Aldrich Road and the Shawsheen School. Westbound traffic will be detoured onto Aldrich Rd.
Until the intersection of Shawsheen/Hopkins/Lake is paved, there will be no westbound access towards Billerica. Motorists traveling towards Billerica will need to stay on Cook St all the way to Route 3A. Lake Street will also be closed at Shawsheen Ave until the intersection is paved.
