WATCH: Wilmington Police Observe Moment of Silence for Dallas Shooting Victims
Five police officers were killed and seven wounded in a shooting in Dallas Thursday.

WILMINGTON, MA — The tragic shooting in Dallas has struck the law enforcement community across the country, and police forces are taking a moment to reflect on the events in honor of the victims.

The Wilmington Police Department joined law enforcement agencies across the Commonwealth in observing a moment of silence Friday at 1 p.m. The Wilmington Police Department also extended its condolences via Twitter.
In honor of the police officers who were killed in Dallas last night, we joined area law enforcement agencies in a moment of silence at 1:00. Rest in peace brothers.

Snipers killed five Dallas law enforcement officers and wounded others during a rally protesting the killing of two black men by police earlier this week. As of Friday morning, multiple suspects were in custody.
