Where Are the Worst Potholes in Wilmington?
Wilmington Patch readers told us Main Street, in front of the Plaza and Rte. 38 by Silver Lake are among the worst in town. Do you agree?

Although many in Massachusetts are looking forward to all the snow and ice lining their streets to begin melting, there is a possibly unexpected consequence to melted ice. Potholes.
Potholes are formed when moisture seeps into cracks in the pavement, expands as temperatures drop below freezing and then melts away when the weather gets warmer.
But potholes are already a problem in Wilmington, even without the sun. Patch asked readers to tell us where the worst potholes are in Wilmington.

Here’s what some of them had to say:
- In front of the Plaza
- Main Street in front of the plaza
- Some on West Street and a sinking manhole. Not awful but will be soon.
- Absolutely in front of the Plaza
- Not a pothole, but a huge speed bump-sized frost heave north of silver lake on Rte. 38
- ^ I have to crawl over or around this thing! Even then, the nose of my car can’t handle it without scraping!
- Rte, 38 Main Street
