Wilmington Calls For Individual Town Cleanup In Lieu Of Event

The annual town cleanup day is canceled due to the coronavirus, the town said in a press release.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Wilmington Conservation Commission and the Department of Planning & Conservation is asking residents to volunteer to do individual town clean-up efforts during the months of September and October in their neighborhoods.

Specifically, volunteers are encouraged to walk neighborhood trails and visit town parks and public open space to remove trash and litter. Town-owned parcels and neighborhood trails can be located by using the Town’s GIS maps on the Town’s website: https://www.wilmingtonma.gov/public-works/engineering-division/pages/gis-maps.
