Wilmington Down To Just 12 Community Coronavirus Cases

WIlmington's case count has continued to decline after peaking in the 70s in April.

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington has just 12 active community cases of the coronavirus, as of Monday, the Health Department said. The town had over 70 active cases at its peak in April.

Four additional residents are in quarantine for potential exposure.

"I am liking our trends, they are moving down," Health Director Shelly Newhouse wrote. "Please continue to practice social distancing."

According to a spokesman for CareOne, the long-term care facility has just one active coronavirus case, as of Wednesday.

Both the AdviniaCare and Windsor Place outbreaks were over, according to the town.

Over 300 Wilmington residents have had confirmed cases of the virus. Over 60 have died at the long-term care facilities.
