Wilmington Fentanyl Dealer Gets 10 Years In Federal Prison

Bryan Moran, 35, of Wilmington, was facing a life sentences as a result of his May guilty plea.

BOSTON, MA -- U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani sentenced Bryan Moran, 35, of Wilmington, to 10 years in prison and eight years of supervised release on Friday. The sentence follow's Moran's guilty plea in federal court in May to one count of to possession with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl.

Moran was arrested in June 2016 after investigators seized approximately 80 grams of fentanyl from a storage unit in North Reading. In October 2017, a superseding indictment added a five-year mandatory minimum sentence against Moran; however, due to a 2003 conviction in federal court for heroin conspiracy, Moran faced a 10-year mandatory minimum.
