Wilmington Fire Department Raising Funds for First Responders Challenge

The funds will help support families of first responders killed while on duty. Here is how you can contribute.

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Fire Department is raising funds as a part of the Boston Bruins Foundation's First Responder Challenge on Jan. 22, to raise awareness regarding health and wellness in the area and to support the Hundred Club.

According to the Wilmington Apple, the firefighters will complete an in-arena course at the TD Garden, climbing stairs and running concourse laps. The event benefits The Hundred Club of Massachusetts, which helps support families of first responders killed while on duty.

As of Tuesday at 3:15 p.m., the department has raised $3,420. The department has a goal of $10,000.
