Wilmington Resident Promoted at BOND's Civil & Utility Division

BOND, a leading 108-year-old construction management and general contracting firm, announced Tuesday that two core members of the firm’s Civil & Utility Division have received promotions that will be instrumental in helping BOND grow and expand its gas and electrical footprint throughout the Northeast.

Wilmington resident Michael Moore has been promoted to General Superintendent, Gas Transmission and Distribution Services along with Edward Azzari who has been promoted to General Superintendent, Electric Transmission and Distribution Services. In their new roles, Azzari and Moore will support BOND as they extend their electric and gas transmission and distribution services throughout the Northeast. Duties will include implementing appropriate safety and quality control measures; managing client satisfaction; and developing human and equipment resources to grow their respective business units.

Moore has served as a superintendent with BOND for more than a decade, managing projects spanning all of the firm’s sectors. He has overseen several types of gas transmission projects of varying complexity across the northeastern United States. One of Moore’s most notable projects was the 2.5 mile Spectra Energy J-2 Gas Transmission Line in Somerville and Medford, one of the most difficult urban projects constructed by Spectra Energy.

Moore has a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Azzari has worked as a superintendent on numerous projects throughout his 20-year career with the firm, including two large underground transmission projects. Azzari led the effort on one of the C&U Division’s largest projects - the $98 million NSTAR 345 kV Transmission Project for NSTAR. He later followed this by managing the field operations for the $190 million Northeast Utilities Middletown-Norwalk project in Connecticut for three years.
