Wilmington Selectman Back To Work After Heart Attack
Selectman Ed Loud started Monday night's meeting by thanking first responders and saying "I'm lucky to be here."

WILMINGTON, MA -- Ed Loud was in his usual spot when Monday night's Wilmington Selectmen's meeting started. But Loud was the first to admit he was "lucky to be here" after suffering a cardiac arrest on Dec. 1.
Loud thanked first responders and told colleagues about how his daughter called 9-1-1 and started compressions, according to the Wilmington Apple, which first reported this story. When Wilmington Police Officer Kevin Skinner arrived, he took over until paramedics arrived.
"I left my house with no heart beat. They revived me in the ambulance and rushed me to Lahey Clinic...Kevin Skinner will be in my heart forever," Loud said, adding that Wilmington Police officers Brian Pupa and Michael Cabral also assisted in the rescue.
