Wilmington Woman's Coronavirus Donation Group Featured On NECN
Christina Bentley created a group to raise money to donate gift cards to local healthcare workers. Hundreds have joined.
WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington resident Christina Bentley was featured on NECN Tuesday night for her work organizing donations to health care workers and other essential workers during the coronavirus outbreak. Bentley started a Facebook group to collect money from residents who want to help, buy gift cards from local restaurants, and donate them in appreciation.
The group, Wilmington Cares, has over 700 members and has raised thousands of dollars.

Bentley has a business in town that has been closed down because it's not essential, so she set out to help. She's also working on getting video monitors in coronavirus medical rooms, so healthcare workers don't need to go in and out so often, according to the video.
