Woburn Street To Close Again In Wilmington Friday

The closure is part of ongoing sewer line construction.

WILMINGTON, MA – Work on the intersection of Woburn Street and Lowell continues Friday, the police department said. The section of road from Woburn Street to Eames Street will close at 8:30 a.m. The closure is part of ongoing sewer line construction.

Wilmington Police said traffic will be detoured using Eames Street to Main Street, and back to Lowell Street. Customers of Lucci's supermarket and other businesses in the plaza near the intersection can enter via Woburn Street northbound.

The work is part of a sewer extension project that started last month. The privately funded construction project is necessary to extend sewer service to the new construction at 168 Lowell Street. Questions should be directed to the Wilmington Engineering Division at (978) 658-4499.
