Woburn Street In Wilmington Closed Tuesday, Wednesday

Traffic will be detoured between 8:30 and 5:30 pm at the busy intersection of Woburn and Lowell Streets.

WILMINGTON, MA -- Woburn Street at the intersection of Lowell Street in Wilmington will be closed between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. The closure is part of ongoing sewer line construction.

Wilmington Police said traffic will be detoured using Eames Street to Main Street, and back to Lowell Street. Customers of Lucci’s supermarket and other businesses in the plaza near the intersection can enter via Woburn Street northbound.

The work is part of a sewer extension project that started last month. The privately funded construction project is necessary to extend sewer service to the new construction at 168 Lowell Street. Questions should be directed to the Wilmington Engineering Division at (978) 658-4499.
