91-Year-Old Fatally Struck in Arlington

Arlington Police are investigating the incident that took place on Monday.

An elderly man was fatally struck by a motor vehicle near 134 Massachusetts Ave. in Arlington on Monday around 11 a.m.

The 91-year-old Arlington man, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to an area hospital and died from serious injuries, police said.

“My heart goes out to the family of our resident, whose life was tragically lost today,” Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan said.

The driver of the vehicle was a 60-year-old woman from Woburn who was operating a 2000 Honda Civic. Police have not yet released her name.

Arlington Police, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit are investigating the incident.
