Join renowned photographer Harvey Stein for a 3-day workshop designed to help you photograph people. Harvey will focus on the techniques and insights needed to make meaningful images of people. You will consider the variety of ways to photograph individuals, including friends, family, and strangers in such diverse settings as the home, the street and in work situations. You will also explore ways of organizing environmental elements to make persuasive statements of and about people.

Summer workshops for students Grades 5 - 9 and one for Elementary Grades 1 - 4
We know your child will enjoy our offerings that utilize the photograph and other visual arts media for a fun and collaborative educational experience. Each class is structured to build visual literacy skills as well as develop critical thinking skills through artmaking.
Although the classes do not require a camera, students are welcome to bring cameras to use in their projects. No photography experience is needed. An exhibition of all student art work will go on display at the museum after the completion of all workshops. Class size limited to 15 except Photo Arts which is limited to 8.
- July 11 - 15 Collage/ Assemblage Grades 5 - 9
- July 18 - 22 Photo Arts (session 1) Grades 5 - 9
- July 25 - 29 Photo Arts (session 2) Grades 5 - 9
- Aug 1 - 5 Creative Arts and Photography Grades 1 - 4
Arts educator Catherine Nasser will again lead the workshops.
Classes will run from 9 AM to 3 PM on Monday through Friday with a half hour supervised lunch. Students should bring a packed lunch to class every day. The Elementary class will run 9 AM to Noon. See our registration flyer and announcement.
