Chill Zone Shuts its Doors
After opening last fall, the Chill Zone had to close down this September.
Eleven months ago, the was , now the local eatery was forced to close its doors.
The Chill Zone closed down midway through September, according to its Facebook Page.
Owner and Winchester resident, Bob Cooke, said that the Chill Zone "just wasn't making enough to support the bills going out," and that "rent was way too high."

After closing last winter, Cooke with some changes he had hoped would help the shop.
“Last fall, when we opened up, it was my first time doing anything like that," Cooke said at the time. "There was a lot of trial and error." “I think we did a very good job but it could be improved.”

There had been some electrical problems in the beginning, with circuits being overloaded and shutting down. Over the winter, Cooke brought in an electrician to rewire and put every appliance on its own circuit.
At the time, Cooke said he hoped that the Chill Zone would establish itself enough over the summer to be able to stay open through the winter.
