WINCHESTER WOMEN OPEN CHRYSALIS CENTER FOR MEDITATION AND WELLNESS
Open House Saturday, October 17, 10am-2pm
The secret is out: Mindfulness and meditation benefit overall health and wellness. With stress levels skyrocketing among both kids and adults, mindfulness has become a mainstream tool in combating everyday pressures. ABC’s Dan Harris, author of 10% Happier, calls meditation “the future of health care in America,” and the folks at Chrysalis Center in Winchester couldn’t agree more. Chrysalis Center opened its doors last month; and according to co-owners Vanessa Gobes and Denise Costello, business is bustling.

Chrysalis Center will host an Open House Saturday, October 17th from 10:00am - 2:00pm. Drop by to learn more and participate in a free meditation, led by the talented staff. Chrysalis is located upstairs at 28 Church Street in Winchester.
Winchester residents Vanessa Gobes, a long-time meditation practitioner and teacher, and Denise Costello, a registered nurse and nutrition expert, pooled their talents and resources to create a space where neighbors could learn, wonder, and transform through whole-being wellness, which includes a healthy meditation practice and a healthy diet.

“Practicing mindfulness in a group setting intensifies awareness like no other. Whether you’re brand new to meditation, or have been meditating for 40 years, Chrysalis is an ideal place to connect with like-minded people while deepening your self-care practice,” says Vanessa Gobes.
Chrysalis Center hosts daily weekday walk-in meditation sittings at 9am and noon, plus after school drop-ins for kids, Saturday classes for teens and after work sittings for commuters. (See calendar www.insidethechrysalis.com.) Chrysalis teachers vary in technique so no two weekday sittings are the same. With 25-minute classes for just $5, holistic well-being has never been so accessible.
Those searching for a deeper understanding of mindfulness are invited to attend intensive retreats or one of many mindfulness-based programs. Chrysalis partners with Greater Boston’s most innovative thinkers and respected doctors to offer topics ranging from creating a healthy food pantry to understanding ADHD and Feng shui to mindful technology.
On Sunday afternoons, Chrysalis hosts a variety of intuitive healers and trusted spiritual coaches, intent on expanding minds and raising frequencies. Topics include astrology, chakra healing, angel card reading, and more. Regardless of the topic, learning takes place in an intimate room filled with comforts, an ideal atmosphere for healing and growth.
For more information, please stop by Chrysalis Center any weekday between 9am-3pm or visit the Open House on Saturday, October 17, 10am-2pm at 28 Church Street in Winchester or online at www.insidethechrysalis.com.
