Dispose of Hazardous Waste, Unwanted Medication Saturday
Residents can dispose of household waste and unused medication starting at 9 a.m.

A release from the Town of Winchester:
Household Hazardous Waste collection day in Winchester is Saturday April 28th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents are welcome to bring household hazardous waste to the DPW yard at 15 Lake Street. No commercial business waste will be accepted.

In addition to hazardous waste, residents can also bring unwanted and unused medication as part of the National Medication Take Back Day. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. residents can bring medications to a tent outside the transfer station gate. For privacy, cross out the name and address from all labels. Do not cross out the name of the medication. Residents can bring all prescription drugs, nonprescription medicine, herbal products, vitamin and mineral supplements and needles (limited quantity accepted. Must be in red box).
The event is sponsored by The Winchester Coalition for a Safer Community, in partnership with the Winchester Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
