May Days, Wild Nights, and other Mayhem

The Winchester High School Chamber Singers will be featured guests as Cantilena celebrates May Day with a concert of Madrigal May-hem - a sampling of madrigals ranging from the contemporary to the traditional.  Roger Bourland's Dickinson Madrigals, written for Cantilena in 1983, are featured as well as some of his Alarcòn Madrigals.  Traditional boisterous and raucous works from two English madrigal masters Thomas Morely and Thomas Weelkes round out the program.   Light refreshments follow.
