Herbal Bitters, Shrubs and Vinegars Workshop

Join Chef Karina Hines to learn how to utilize garden crops and edible wilds for homemade bitters, shrubs, and vinegars this summer

Summer is here, and Wright-Locke Farm (Winchester, MA) has a new lineup of practical skills workshops for teens and adults that are centered on local and seasonal foods, both cultivated and wild. Their upcoming herbalism workshop, Herbal Bitters, Shrubs, and Vinegars with Chef Karina Hines, is TOMORROW evening, Wednesday, July 13 from 6:30 - 8pm at the Farm. Learn fun ideas for cocktail & mocktail hour as well as how to capture the tastes and nourishing goodness of garden herbs & plants. Chef Karina Hines will demonstrate how to make your own bitters, shrubs and herbal vinegars to use in cocktails, mocktails, refreshing summer drinks & even a salad. You will learn about a variety of different blends, techniques, recipe ideas and plants to use for their medicinal or health qualities. You will have the opportunity to taste different infusions, experience food pairings, and make your own herbal infusion to take home. Click here to sign up! Interested in youth programming? Though our weeklong Summer Vacation Programs for kids in preschool through grade 5 are mostly sold out, the Farm is offering two separate Youth Morning Yoga Sessions on Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 30 from 7 - 8am.
