How do Winchester Residents Get to Work?

WINCHESTER, MA—Commuting from Winchester can be a pain in the rear sometimes, but it is a necessary evil that many of us must face on a daily basis.

According to FindTheHome’s most recent data, Winchester residents spend a good chunk of their day commuting. 29.2 percent of residents have 30-44 minute commute times to their place of work, nearly four percentage points higher than the county average.
21.4 percent of residents take 20-29 minutes to get to work, a mark that is three percentage points higher than the average. 13 percent of residents commute for between 45 minutes and one hour, a mark just over one percent higher than the county average.
Winchester’s transportation methods are consistent with county averages, with 78 percent of residents driving to work and nearly 11 percent of residents taking public transportation.
