ICYMI: Car Crashes into Thornberry Road Garage
Police responded to 14 Thornberry Road in Winchester Monday evening after a vehicle crashed into a garage.

WINCHESTER, MA—The wintry weather Monday made for treacherous driving conditions and numerous car crashes, one of which damaged a garage door in Winchester.

Winchester Lt. Peter MacDonnell told Patch that police received word of a car that crashed into a garage at 14 Thornberry Road. The woman who was driving the car stated that she had started to slide off the road, glanced off a tree on the front lawn of the residence and struck the garage door of the residence.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the collision.

The homeowners reported to police that they had heard a loud bang outside of their door, later finding that the vehicle had struck the garage door. The door was broken into pieces and knocked off the tracks. there was also damage to supporting bricks next to the garage door.
MacDonnell told Patch that the damage did not compromise the integrity of the home.
