It's A Girl: Winchester Hospital Welcomes First Baby of 2020

WINCHESTER, MA — Baby New Year was a girl this year at Winchester Hospital. The hospital debuted the baby girl in a social media post to announce the first baby of 2020.

Baby Leya Frimu wasted no time making her way into 2020. She was born at 2:10 a.m. weighing six pounds, 11 ounces and 20.5 inches long. Leyla's parents, Corina and Veaceslav, are from Tewksbury.

Wrapped in hospital blankets and a fashionable hospital cap wrapped into a bow, it's safe to say baby Mae will be sleeping and resting through her first few days in 2020 — let's hope her family gets the same.
