Japanese Cooking Workshop this Wednesday 8/3
Join Wright-Locke Farm for Yoshiko Sullivan's "Washoku" Cooking Class
Summer is here, and Wright-Locke Farm (Winchester, MA) has a new lineup of practical skills workshops for teens and adults that are centered on seasonal foods and healthy living.
The Farm's next program, a Washoku Cooking Workshop with Yoshiko Sullivan, will be hosted Wednesday, August 3 from 6 - 9pm at Saint Eulalia's Parish kitchen, just down the street from the Farm. Don’t miss the experience of an authentic Japanese home-cooked “washoku” meal with local creative Japanese food and lifestyle instructor Yoshiko Sullivan. This workshop will teach step-by-step preparation and garnishing techniques using fresh and local summer vegetables, resulting in a delicious and visually stunning plate. Participants will learn 3 Japanese “washoku” dishes that can be enjoyed this summer: fried and marinated summer vegetables, smoked salmon and vegetables freestyle sushi, and “matcha” cake parfait with berries. Hard copies of the recipes and a tasting session will be included in the workshop. To learn more or sign up for the workshop, visit the Farm's website by clicking here.
