building trades, healthcare, transportation, education, law enforcement and state government.
"Rep. Day’s “tireless advocacy of issues and protections benefiting working class families has been commendable,” said Joseph Bonfiglio, business manager of the Mass. & Northern New England
Laborers’ District Council. “We are confident (his) passion and commitment to these issues will best
serve the interests of our members and all hardworking men and women in Massachusetts.”

“Our members and families are under increasing pressure to make ends meet in the face of rising health
care costs and worsening economic pressures,” said Tim Foley, executive vice president of SEIU 1199 United Healthcare Workers East. “State legislators have the opportunity to pass policies that enhance the quality of life of our members throughout the Commonwealth and we know we can rely on Rep. Day’s support to implement and fight for these policies.”
Since arriving on Beacon Hill in 2014, Day has been a steadfast champion for working families and is proud to again have strong union support ahead of the November 6 election.
“These endorsements are a reflection not just of my work and this campaign, but of the values that drive
the communities I represent,” said Rep. Day. “Unions helped to build the American middle class and I
will always support the rights of our working men and women to fight for a better life for themselves and
their families.”
