Lisa Mullins Named Host of WBUR's "All Things Considered"

Award-winning journalist Lisa Mullins has been named the new weekday host of All Things Considered

WBUR, Boston’s NPR news station, announced today that award-winning journalist Lisa Mullins has been named the new weekday host of All Things Considered.

Mullins is a highly-regarded, long-time public radio personality with roots in Boston. She began her career in journalism at WBUR in 1985, as host of Morning Edition and went on to serve as anchor of PRI’s The World, where she spent more than 15 years interviewing key figures on the international stage, including U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan, U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell, and Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai. In 2012, Mullins was awarded the highly coveted ‘Gracie Award’ honoring women who have made major contributions to the field of programming and journalism.

“Lisa has a huge presence on the radio and we are so excited to have her back at WBUR,” said WBUR Director of News and Programming Sam Fleming. “Simply put, Lisa is one of the great hosts in all of public radio. Her unique interview style and deep roots in Boston will translate into exceptional journalism for WBUR’s loyal listeners.
