McCall Middle School Students Win MWRA Poster and Writing Contests

Town Water and Sewer Operations Manager James Gibbons Attends Awards Ceremony

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is pleased to announce that six students of the McCall Middle School in Winchester have won MWRA’s annual poster and writing contests.

Marco Steel won Second Place in the Poster Contest. Maya Wang and Jennifer Wu won Honorable Mention.

Ayan Ghosh won Third Place in the Writing Contest. Charlie Badger and Eric C. Ferguson won Honorable Mention.

This year, students across the MWRA service area were challenged to create posters, essays and poems about how MWRA workers do their jobs in all kinds of weather. An awards ceremony was held on Friday, May 26 at the Deer Island Treatment Plant. Town of Winchester Water and Sewer Operations Manager James Gibbons attended the ceremony and congratulated the winners. All of the winning posters, essays and videos are on the MWRA website.
