Obituary: Frank A. Vozzella, 19, of Winchester

Vozzella graduated from Winchester High School in 2013.

Frank A. Vozzella of Winchester, passed away unexpectedly on February 7, 2015. He was 19 years old.

Vozzella was a graduate of Winchester High School Class of 2013 and currently a student at Middlesex Community College. He was the Goalie for the high school hockey team and also played volleyball. An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed rooting for his local teams the Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots.

In his free time Vozzella also enjoyed pond skating and fishing with his friends but he loved driving his Audi, which was his prized possession.

Electronics and computers came easily to him and many times he was called upon by family and friends to help them, he was always happy to oblige. Vozzella also enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, a hobby he shared with his grandfather.

Vozzella loved spending time with his friends and will be remembered as a young man who would do anything to help family, friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his loving parents Mary (Hegarty) and Frank A. Vozzella. And is the adored brother of Gennara whom he loved very much. Beloved grandson of Eleanor (Falcione) and Frank Vozzella and the late Mary and Joseph Hegarty. Dear Nephew of David and Jacque Vozzella of Canton, Paul and Lisa Doherty of Stoneham, Stephanie and Doug Pratt of NV, Joseph and Qian Hegarty of Reading, and Eileen Hegarty and Francine Capuzzo of Pelham, NH. Cousin of Michael, Taylor, Brooke, Reagan, Brianna and Vivian. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at St. Mary’s Church on Friday, Feb. 13 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Interment Wildwood Cemetery.
