Police Log: Attempted Break-in and Animal Put Down
The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Oct. 14, 9:13 a.m. – A Main Street resident was told by Chase bank that someone tried to charge her card $6,000.
12:16 p.m. – A Ridge Street resident had two window screens in the back of her home cut. Winchester Police believe someone tried to break into the home, but were unsuccessful.
Sunday, Oct. 16, 7:10 a.m. – Winchester Police had to put down an injured raccoon along Wildwood Street, near West Side Field. The animal was struck by a car, but was still alive on the side of the road when police arrived.

5:04 p.m. – An Arlington woman had stopped to put gas in her car at the Hess gas station along Cambridge Street. She put her black wallet on the roof of her car and drove off before taking it down.
