Police Log: Car Window Smashed, Dog Struck

Thursday, Oct. 13
3:38 p.m. – A rental car parked at the A.W. Chestertown Co. on East Street had its rear driver’s side window smashed sometime between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. A black carrying bag with assorted tools was taken from the vehicle, police said.
6:46 p.m. – A black dog was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Main Street. It appeared to be OK, but its owner was going to take it to the veterinarian for a full evaluation, according to police.
