Police Log: Cars Vandalized and Domestic Dispute Handled

Tuesday, May 31, 9:02 a.m. – A Winchester crossing guard found a “Schwinn” Mountain bike near her post, at the intersection of Sylvester Avenue and Middlesex Street.
The bike has black hand grips, front silver shocks, a black seat and a reflector.
1:55 p.m. – While parked in the girl scout parking lot, a Somerville resident had the driver’s side window of her car broken. There was a bag with papers that someone went through, but the woman told police nothing was taken.

5:47 p.m. – A three-year-old Winchester child got stuck between two bars on the play structure at McDonald Field. The Fire Department arrived and, with the use of lubrication, got her out. She was not injured.
7:27 p.m. – A Canal Street resident told police that his bike – a Novara Mountain bike, valued at $500 – was stolen from the high school. The student said that the bike was not locked because someone had stolen the lock.

9:48 p.m. - Winchester Police were called to a Horn Pond Brook residence because a husband and wife were arguing loudly. The officer observed the woman to be intoxicated and out of control. They took her into protective custody.
Wednesday, June 1, 11:29 a.m. – A DPW employee was using a weed wacker to cut grass along Converse Place and Main Street when a rock shot up and broke a car window.
Thursday, June 2, 6:42 p.m. – A Cross Street resident has had her Subaru Forrester vandalized two days in a row. First someone used a key to make scratch marks along the driver’s side door. Then someone scratched in a profanity on her door.
