Police Log: Four Cars Broken Into Along Lewis Road
This is an excerpt from the Winchester Police Log from Monday, November 8 to Wednesday, November 10.

Monday, Nov. 8, 9:42 a.m. – A tree limb along Church Street feel on three parked cars on Monday. All three had damage to the roofs of their cars.
Monday, 3:54 p.m. – A Lexington resident arrived at his mother's house on Washington Street and noticed that it had been broken into. His mother has not lived there for over two years – she currently lives in Lexington. The officer observed the side door slightly open. There was glass on the floor and it's believed that the perpetrator broke the glass and unlocked the door.
The man does not believe anything was stolen from the house, as everything of value has been removed. He also informed the officer that this is the second time the house has been broken into over the last two years. The first time the perpetrator entered the same way.

Tuesday, Nov. 9, 7:50 a.m. – A Lewis Road resident called police to his car because someone stole his IPod from the vehicle the previous night. The man said that the door was left unlocked. He also said that it smelt as though someone was smoking in his car and he does not. The IPod costs $100.

8:06 a.m. – Another Lewis Road resident called police to inform them that her car was also broken into. She said the her unlocked vehicle was also broken in the night before and a $400 Garmin GPS was stolen with its charge and a charge to an IPhone.
8:52 a.m. – The police returned to Lewis Road a third time because of a motor vehicle break-in. Taken from the car was a $300 Tom Tom GPS system was stolen. The owner also said that her car smelt like cigarettes.
11:44 a.m. – Winchester Police received their fourth call to Lewis Road. This time the perpetrator went into the unlocked car and took two gas cards and two pairs of prescription glasses.
