The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, May 25, 10:23 a.m. – A Winchester resident had parked her car in the Dix Street parking lot for a doctor’s appointment. When the woman returned to her vehicle, someone told her that a truck had backed into it, causing minor damage.
11:35 a.m. – An Alben Street resident had her Winchester Cooperative Bank debit card used at Walmart.com. The perpetrator tried to purchase items for $228. The sale did not go though, and Walmart said they would relinquish the person’s name if they received a police report.
2:09 p.m. – While walking in the crosswalk at the corner of Waterfield Road and Church Street, a Sylvester Avenue resident told police that a Ryder truck hit his knee with its bumper. The man hit the back of the truck to alert the driver that he was hit, but the vehicle continued into the rotary.

The man’s account was on a “hot card list,” which suggests his personal and confidential information was stolen. The man was reimbursed for the money lost.
8:23 p.m. – Winchester Police received several calls involving a sick raccoon. The animal was unusually aggressive, chasing residents and attempting to enter their homes.
When police arrived, they saw the animal chase a cat before going behind the high school. When the officer approached the animal, the raccoon charged at him. The officer fired two shots, killing the animal.
Thursday, May 26, 7:49 a.m. – While waiting for a green light at the corner of Skillings and Shore Road, Winchester police observed a Woburn man accelerate through a red light on Skillings. When he was pulled over, the man began yelling at the officer, asking if he had anything better to do.
The officer gave the man a citation for passing through a red light and speeding.
