Don't miss the opportunity to sign up for our popular farm education programs

It's that time of year again- time to start to think about and plan for the warmer months ahead! Though we're just entering the middle of the winter season, registration for Wright-Locke Farm's popular Spring and Summer Youth Programs has already begun. Donors of $125 or more are qualified for early registration, and there are just 3 more days left! General registration (open to the public) will start at 7am this Saturday, February 11th. Many of our spring and summer programs will sell out, so don't delay signing up. You can learn about registration and our different program offerings for kids ages 4 - 14 on our website.

Wright-Locke Farm’s youth education programs offer children a unique, hands-on experience learning about farming and the natural world on a historic working farm in Winchester, MA. All of our programs include lessons and activities related to agriculture, the environment, or natural science while utilizing the fields, pastures, barns, and wooded trails as our living classroom. Specific subject focuses include soil, compost, worms, plants, Wright-Locke Farm’s domesticated animals (sheep, goats, chickens, honeybees), land conservation, farm history, select wildlife (plants, animals, insects, fungi), and more. Daily activities include visiting or caring for our farm animals, cooking healthy and seasonal dishes to try, tending our two youth gardens, and free choice time to partake in games, arts and crafts, and more.
