Rosemary McCormack Is The Producer Of The 2016 Winton Club Cabaret, "Color The Night"

The Winton Club of Winchester is pleased to announce Rosemary McCormack as the Producer of the Winton Club’s 2016 Cabaret, “Color The Night”.

Originally from Cape Cod, Rosemary has been a Winchester resident for 17 years, a member of the Winton Club for over 8 years, and a Winchester Hospital employee for 14 years.

Her Winchester roots run deep, as her father was born and raised there, coming from a large family of 10 children. Her uncle Fred was the owner of McCormack Drug Store in town, formerly on the corner where Winchester Pharmacy now sits.

Rosemary graduated from Simmons College in Boston with a B.S. in Physical Therapy and a M.S. in Healthcare Administration. As the Rehabilitation Manager for Winchester Hospital’s Homecare Department, Rosemary has seen firsthand how the Winton Club’s fundraising efforts have positively impacted patients in areas from Maternal Child Health to Elder Care, among others. The five-night cabaret event has helped to fund medical programs, vital equipment and renovations over the years. Most recently, the club has funded the Healing Garden at the Winchester Hospital Center For Cancer Care, which provides a beautifully landscaped place of comfort and relaxation for patients, their families and friends. Rosemary is both humbled and excited to be at the helm of the Winton Club’s largest fundraising event.

McCormack says, “January in New England can be cold, dark and gloomy. Since 2007, when I performed in my first Winton Cabaret show, January nights have been colored with song, laughter, dance, light, friendship and pride of raising funds for Winchester Hospital. I am so fortunate this year to have a creative team that is ready to put together a bright, fun, fast-paced show. We are so lucky that composers and artists have written beautiful songs dedicated to a palette of colors. So, whether you join us as a sponsor, patron, advertiser, or as a member of the cast or audience, we hope to color your nights this January at the Winton Cabaret.”

Rosemary has performed in the cabaret many times in several numbers, including the annual legendary “Drill” number, a highly-anticipated troupe performance, which displays coordinated costumes, carefully choreographed, synchronized group movements and kick-lines.

In “Color The Night”, true colors will burst onto the stage, all to benefit Winchester Hospital. This colorful collection of song and dance numbers will take you on a musical journey through a kaleidoscope of color-evoking emotions of good times, and places where the grass is always greener. You will reminisce about “Blue Moons” and “Pink Panthers”, as well as sing along to tunes about red balloons, yellow taxis and patriotic fireworks. This fun, fast-paced production will have your feet tapping, fingers drumming and voices humming to the beat long after the finale.

All profits from “Color The Night” help to support Winchester Hospital and their ongoing dedication to health and community. The cast of talented performers includes staff members from Winchester Hospital, local residents, performers from local community theater groups, local professional entertainers, and a core of enthusiastic supporters of Winchester Hospital who will thoroughly enjoy preparing for this year’s entertaining show.

Cabaret performance dates are January 26-30, 2016 at Winchester Town Hall auditorioum, 71 Mt. Vernon St., Winchester, MA. Tryouts will be held in the Town Hall on Dec. 7 and 8th at 7PM. Please visit our website at www.wintonclub.org to learn more about the show, donations and sponsorships.
