For Sachems, It's A Saturday Hockey Doubleheader
Girls face top seed Wellesley; boys take on St. Mary's in MIAA tournament play.

After spending Friday cooped up inside staring out your window, how about a little excitement Saturday in the form of two Winchester High School state tournament hockey games.
Gas up the car and make the short drive to O'Brien Rink in Woburn for the 1 p.m. Division 1 North matchup between the Winchester boys and St. Mary's. The Sachems are coming off a 5-1 win over Reading and are 13-7-2 heading into this quarterfinal against the No. 2 seeded Spartans (12-6-4). St. Mary's had a first round bye. The winner advances to the Tsongas Center for the sectional semifinals.
When that's over, grab a bite to eat, then head to Babson College in Wellesley for the 6 p.m. contest between the Winchester girls (10-8-3) and the top seed in the Division 2 tournament Wellesley (15-2-3). Winchester advanced to the first round following a preliminary round win over Middlesex rival Wakefield.
