Scholarships Available for Winchester Students
The Winchester Scholarship Foundation is accepting applications.

The Winchester Scholarship Foundation (WSF) announced that scholarship applications are now available. Last year WSF awarded scholarships to 103 students totaling $315,100.
These scholarships are available to Winchester seniors and college students who meet the following criteria:

- Graduation from Winchester Public Schools (or alternatives as noted on the application form).
- Acceptance for further education at an accredited school or college.
- Demonstrated a financial need
- Characteristics including ambition, extracurricular activities, service to others, and good citizenship.
Applications can be obtained online at www.winchestersf.org or through the WHS Guidance Department. The deadline for seniors is May 15; college students 6/30.
Since 1945 WSF has helped bridge the financial gap between higher education costs and a families’ ability to pay. In the last five years the WSF has awarded $1,526,570 in scholarships.

Continuing our mission is now more important than ever before. Since 1981 the list price level of tuition and fees has risen sixfold while the consumer price index has only increased two-and-a-half times. A donation to WSF is a prudent investment in developing tomorrow’s leaders.
