Something For Everyone At Winchester Town Day
Annual event begins with road race, ends with fireworks, with music, food and fun in between.

If you're looking for a good way to start off this year's Winchester Town Day, how about a little exercise?
Join the Winchester Highlanders Running Club Saturday for the annual Town Road Race. This year's race features events for all ages including a 2.5 mile run, a 5 mile run plus a 2.5 mile walk. All three races start at 8:30 a.m. at Manchester Field. Race day registration fees are $40 for adults and $25 for youth 18 and under. It is a great way to get Town Day off to an awesome start with a little exercise followed by the Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast ($6 per person) at McCall Middle School.
After exercise and a good breakfast, head to the Downtown Street Fair where more than 200 vendors and exhibitors are set up. The Street Fair runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you need a break there are plenty of options including a petting zoo, a children's art show, hot air balloon rides, and a chance to look close up at Winchester police and fire vehicles. When you start to get tired, hop on the historical trolley rides that include narration from the Winchester Historical Society.
