Strengthening Winchester: A Civic Gathering

Community Meeting to hear residents' voices, opinions, concerns around civil rights and social justice issues.

On Thursday, February 2nd, the Board of Selectmen, the School Committee and the Winchester Multicultural Network will co-present “Strengthening Winchester: A Civic Gathering” at the Jenks Center, Cummings Room, 109 Skillings Road, Winchester Center, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Join us now as we identify and set out attainable next steps to amplify the Town’s human rights values and further build a resilient, robust and connected community.

This civic gathering follows a mid-November community conversation with over 100 participants held at the Library. At this earlier meeting residents began to discuss concerns around civil rights and social justice issues that they would like to see addressed within Winchester.

Our goal for the February 2nd gathering, according to Network Executive Director Aba Taylor, is to hear from the diverse civic interests of Winchester, make collective and collaborative decisions, and launch into action. Your participation and leadership will drive the success of this event.

Please join us, and invite your circles of acquaintance to participate, too, on Thursday, February 2nd, from 7:00 - 9:00 PM, at the Jenks. For further information please go to the Network website, WMCN.org.
