WINCHESTER, MA – February 18, 2015 - The Griffin Museum of Photography today announced event details for its ninth annual “Taste at the Griffin” fundraiser. This year’s event, scheduled for Friday, March 27th at 7:00 pm-10:00pm at the Museum’s Shore Road location, will feature unlimited food and beverage samples from dozens of area restaurants and vendors. There will be a heated tent area to accommodate the increased number of restaurants, vendors, and attendees.

The event highlights include: unlimited spring menu selections from top local restaurants and food vendors; open bars featuring wine sponsored by M.S. Walker and beer sponsored by BUSA Wine & Spirits; a whiskey tasting with M. S. Walker; a photographic exhibit; musical entertainment and a silent auction.

The Silent Auction at the Taste will feature items including: 4 days/3 nights at a golf resort in Rockport, ME; a weekend in Manhattan; rental of the Griffin’s Shore Road, Winchester location; photographs and memorabilia from the TD Garden Sports Museum; a framed print from photographer Neal Rantoul’s series “Wheat”; gift certificates from Tryst, 3 Little Figs, Formaggio Kitchen, An Elegant Affair, Dockside Restaurants, and a consultation with Gardens by Demetra Landscape services and consultation with Doreen Dove.

Artwork on view at the TASTE will be a group exhibition by the members of the Griffin’s Photography Atelier 21 (March 5 – 29, 2015), a portfolio-building seminar of 27 artists. There will also be live musical entertainment.

The Griffin Museum of Photography was founded in 1992 to provide a forum for the exhibition of both historic and contemporary photography.
