THE GOLDEN AGES IN JEWISH HISTORY:
LECTURE AND DISCUSSION SERIES AT TEMPLE SHALOM IN MEDFORD
at 475 Winthrop St, Medford, MA, will host a
lecture by Mostafa Hussein, doctoral candidate in Near Eastern and Judaic
Studies at Brandeis University. He will be speaking on the period of time in Jewish history known as
the Golden Ages or Turha-Zahav. The lecture covers the Jewish
intellectual, social and literary achievements during the period that stretched
from CA 850-1250.
This is the first of a series of adult education lectures at Temple Shalom, where guest speakers will talk about the times in Jewish history
where Jews were not victims, but actually flourished in society.
