Tri-Community Greenway to Host Clean-Up Day
Looking for a way to help the community this weekend? Here's a good option.
STONEHAM, MA—If you're looking for a good way to help the community this weekend, it's time to put on your long-sleeved shirts and proper footwear!
The Tri-Community Greenway is sponsoring a clean-up beginning behind Stop & Shop on Williams Street and moving towards Montvale Avenue on Saturday. The clean-up will focus on parts of the railway right-of-way as a part of National Trails Day.
Volunteers are asked to wear proper footwear, pants, long-sleeved shirts and gloves to protect from poison ivy. Tri-Community Greenway will provide bags and some gloves, but volunteers are urged to bring their own equipment and are encouraged to write their name on the items they use.
