Want to know what makes a particular piece of music remarkable? We'll "pop the hood" on Brahms' Piano Quartet No. 3 in C minor.

Want to know what makes a particular piece of music remarkable? Join us for a performance of the Brahms masterpiece, Piano Quartet No. 3 in C minor, discussed and analyzed from the stage by the musicians. Similar to the popular NPR series “What Makes It Great,” our talented faculty will pop the hood and examine the structure, style, and origins of this great composition. Performers include Karen Oosterbaan, violin; Noralee Walker, viola; Anne Bennett, cello; and Aimee Tsuchiya, piano. In addition to guiding the audience through the work, the performers will be available for a Q&A session. Appropriate for anyone interested in music appreciation.
