VIDEO: A Capella Singers Perform at Madrigal Fest

Madrigal Fest, the Winchester Chamber Singer annual fundraiser, was held last Sunday at at Town Hall.

Young voices in unison singing soaring a cappella and showing off the ancient talent of song. It's the 2011 Madrigal Fest, the groups annual fundraiser.

This year, Madrigal Fest gathered guests from all over the Boston area. The Madrigal Singers of Boston College, Cantilena (a Cambridge based a capella group), New England Conservatory Chamber Singers, and of course, the Winchester Octets and Chamber Singers, were all at Saturday night to sing together and celebrate their collective talents.

“This is a great opportunity for the town to experience a bunch of different ages of singers,” said Choral Director, Christopher Nickelson. “It's across a few generations and we come together and share our music. It's also a chance for the kids to see what it's like singing along side professional-level choirs and in front of an audience.”
