Hospital staff lined either side of the exit to celebrate the 100th coronavirus patient being discharged.
WINCHESTER, MA — While fighting the coronavirus pandemic, hospital staff have been recipients of applause lately, but Winchester Hospital staff turned the tables on Wednesday, when they applauded one patient on his way out for being their 100th COVID-19 patient discharge.
Hospital staff lined the hallway and exit as Zachary Whitman was rolled out of the building. Nurses, doctors and administrators roared with applause and shouted through their face masks.
The 100th discharge is a small victory in a big fight against the pandemic.
