Water Main Flushing In Town Of Winchester

Water main flushing signs will be posted each day in the areas to be flushed.

Beginning Monday, October 5, 2020, water main flushing of the Town’s East/West water system will be taking place during the day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. over the course of a three- to four-week period. We will begin flushing with the West side for the first two weeks and the East side for the last two weeks.

The west-side system consists of all streets west of Cambridge Street plus Pond St., Chesterford Rd. and Chesterford Terrace, Chesterford East, Woodside Rd., Ardley Rd., Ardley Place, and Parker Rd. The east-side system consists of all streets east of Washington Street and Main Street up to the Medford line.

Water main flushing signs will be posted each day in the areas to be flushed. During flushing, residents should refrain from using water for drinking, dishwashing, and laundry as some discoloration of water may occur. If you experience discolored water, let the cold water run until it clears. If the problem continues, please call the Water and Sewer Department at 781-721-7109.
