Winchester Enacts Voluntary Outdoor Water Ban
Winchester residents are asked to avoid outdoor water usage during peak hours.

WINCHESTER, MA — The Town of Winchester has enacted a voluntary outdoor water restriction, in an attempt to maintain water pressure and supplies across town.
The Winchester Water Department announced Wednesday that it is recommended that outdoor watering take place between the ours of 4 p.m. and 4 a.m. The town reported that residents reported diminished water pressure during peak flow hours of 4 to 8 a.m. in certain neighborhoods.
The town also added that decreased pressure could affect fire protection in an emergency situation.
