Winchester Farmers Market Is Back—in a New Location

The market is focused on providing a safe experience where customers can confidently shop for fresh, delicious, local food.

On May 19, 2020, the Winchester Select Board accepted a proposal by the Winchester Farmers Market Community Hub outlining plans for this year’s Winchester Farmers Market. Given the ongoing risk posed by COVID-19, this year’s market will look very different.

Location

The 2020 Market will be held in the Town Hall Parking Lot (109 Skillings Road) with entry and exit points via Mount Vernon Street. Parking will be available on Skillings and Mount Vernon.

Vendors and ordering

The market will host food vendors only and food purchased at the market may not be consumed on site. Customers are encouraged to pay electronically or via credit/debit card.

They are also encouraged to order through individual vendor’s websites during the week so that market day is simply for picking up what has already been ordered and paid for.

Dedicated shopping time

The first half hour of the market (9:30 to 10:00) will be dedicated to seniors and other medically
vulnerable individuals.

The Winchester Farmers Market team remains committed to safely bring fresh, delicious, local foods to our community, particularly those who may be economically affected during this
pandemic.

The Anna LaViolette SNAP Matching Fund, which provides $10 in matching funds to SNAP recipients, remains in effect and hopes to reach more individuals than ever.

The market is poised to support for local farmers and purveyors of locally made foods. Both longtime market vendors and new vendors are sure to become new customer favorites.

The first market date will be Saturday, June 13, from 9:30 to 1:30.
