Winchester Girls To Face Wakefield In Hockey Opener

The Winchester girls' earned the No. 16 seed in the Division 2 hockey tournament and will face Middlesex rival Wakefield in a preliminary round game Monday. The MIAA released the hockey pairings Saturday.

The Sachems finished the regular season 9-8-3 while No. 17 Wakefield was 9-9-2. Winchester beat Wakefield, 5-2, in December. The winner faces top-seeded Wellesley in the first round.
