UPDATE: Dairy Barn Held Up at Gunpoint

The on Main Street was held up at gunpoint this afternoon. was on lock down as a precaution, but was reopened by 2 p.m.

According to Lieutenant Peter MacDonnell of the , at approximately 1:30 p.m. a male between the ages of 30 and 40 robbed the Dairy Barn.

"There was a gun shown and it was armed robbery," MacDonnell said.

MacDonnell said that the man is between 5-5 and 5-6 and weighs approximately 180 pounds.

According to the Winchester Police, the robber stole between $4,000 and $6,000.

The Dairy Barn has video surveillance cameras, and Winchester Police are currently looking through the footage.
