Winchester Issues Snow Emergency

Heavy snow, blizzard conditions expected.

The Town of Winchester is issuing a snow emergency on Tuesday March 13th, 2018 starting at 4 am, continuing through Wednesday March 14th, 2018 till 6 am. During these hours it is advised not to travel if possible. All parked vehicles are to be off the street on private property to allow for snow removal. Any vehicle unable to be placed on private property can be parked at the Town Hall/Jenks Center parking lot or the Aberjona Drive Parking Lot for the duration of the storm. Any vehicle not removed from the roadway during the emergency will be subject to ticket, tow or both.

Snow accumulations are predicted to be over a foot of snow. Dangerous travel conditions will develop Tuesday morning and will continue throughout the day as the snow intensifies. This area will experience blizzard conditions with 1 to 3 inches of snow per hour.
